Fall Things to Do in Oxford


Normally Fall in Oxford is all about football. Sadly, this year, not so many people will be able to attend games. Even worse, NO ONE gets to experience the Grove on Gameday. But that is far from meaning there’s nothing to do in Oxford this fall. Check these out.



Visit St. Peter’s Pumpkin Patch at 113 S 9th St, Oxford, MS 38655 starting 10/4.


Go for a fall picnic in the Grove.


Take family photos at one of the many iconic Oxford backdrops.


Visit one of our many museums that remain open:

Rowan Oak Unfortunately, the house itself is closed due to the pandemic, but you are free to visit the grounds.

Blues Archive in the J.D. Williams Library You do have to schedule your visit.


Visit an art gallery: You may have heard Oxford called the “cultural Mecca of the South.” We have a vibrant arts scene and a variety of galleries featuring local work as well as traveling exhibits.

Southside Gallery Open Tuesday to Saturday from 10:00am to 6:00pm. To find out more information call 662-234-9090.

The Powerhouse Community Arts Center. The Powerhouse hosts a variety of arts related events and exhibits. You might even want to sign up for a class!



Oxford Treehouse Gallery. Open Thursday – Saturday, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and by appointment. Visit their website for more information.


Oxford Artists' Guild Gallery Now located on the upper level of Sugar Magnolia Antique Mall open Monday – Saturday 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.


October 6 -The Queen's Cartoonists@ the Ford Center. The Queen’s Cartoonists play music from classic cartoons and contemporary animation. The performances are synchronized to video projections of the original films, and the band leads the audience through a world of virtuosic musicianship, multi-instrumental mayhem, and comedy. 7:30 p.m.


October 9 -Tunes Around Town 5-7 pm Downtown


October 17 - Oxford Artists' Guild Fall Art Show, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., Old Armory Pavilion.


Oxford Film Festival OFF to the Drive-In at the Cannon Motors Parking Lot Friday and Saturday evenings
